Reema Lagoo (21 June 1958 – 18 May 2017) was an Indian theater and screen performer known for her work in Hindi and Marathi film. She started her acting profession in Marathi theater.
In the wake of making her presentation in movies in 1979 with the Marathi film Sinhasan, she went ahead to assume supporting parts, for the most part that of a mother of the lead character. Her depiction of a mother in movies, for example, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994) has been acknowledged in the media as a happening to "another age mother" in Hindi cinema.Her other striking exhibitions came in movies, for example, Aashiqui (1990), Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999) and Vaastav: The Reality (1999).
Lagoo had a parallel vocation in Marathi film. For her execution in the 2002 film Reshamgaath, she was granted the Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Actress. Her part in Janma (2011), that she called "one of the best parts" of her profession got laud Lagoo likewise had a fruitful vocation as a TV performing artist after her presentation in 1985 with Khandaan. Her parts in Shriman Shrimati as Kokila Kulkarniand as Devki Verma in Tu Main won acclaim, with the last winning her the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Comic Role.
