A high-elevation pursuit and save group discovered Liang Sheng Yueh in a gully at around 2,600m (8,500ft) close Tipling town in Nepal's Dhading locale.

The body of his sidekick, 19-year-old Liu Chen Chun, was lying adjacent.

Mr Liang is being dealt with at Grandee International Hospital in Kathmandu and is said to be out of threat.

Dr Sanjaya Karki, who is treating Mr Liang, revealed to Surendra Phuyal of BBC Nepal: "He can talk gradually. He disclosed to me his better half passed on three days back. He doesn't have injury wounds, yet his body has wounds originating from worm-nibbles."

The trekker is said to have lost 30kg (4.5 stone) since disappearing seven weeks back. His hair was brimming with lice when he was found, and one foot was secured with larvae.

Specialists said he seemed to have survived generally on water and salt.
