KATHMANDU, March 16: Khukuri Ent alongside Devibas Events and Media Pvt Ltd are together sorting out Super 8's cricket competition from March 28 to April 1 at TU grounds, Kirtipur.
The seven-over competition will highlight 20 groups altogether, educated Binayak Bikram Thapa, leader of the sorting out board of trustees amid a question and answer session on Thursday. "This arrangement of cricket is prevalent in Australia and New Zealand and we are presenting it without precedent for Nepal," Thapa said.
The occasion will be played allied cum-knockout arrangement and the members will be partitioned into five gatherings with four groups in each gathering. The champ of each gathering and three best runners-up will book quarterfinal ticket.
The champ and runner-up will sack satchel of Rs 100,000 and 50,000 separately alongside trophies. The best player will be remunerated Rs 20,000 while the best bowler and batsman will walk home with Rs 10,000 each. The normal cost of the occasion is about Rs 2 million.
