The reciprocal relations between the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and the People's Republic of China have been well disposed and characterized by Nepal's strategy of adjusting the contending impact of China and Nepal's southern neighbor India, the main two neighbors of the Himalayan nation after the extension of the Kingdom of Sikkim by India in 1975.
