India and Nepal have consented to manufacture new cross-fringe control transmission lines to help in the appropriation of power from power ventures being created in Nepal.
The new Butwal(Nepal)- Gorakhpur (India) and Lumki (Nepal) –Bareilly ( India) transmission lines and new 400 kV sub-stations at Dhalkebar, Butwal and Hetauda, all in Nepal, were talked about amid the fourth meeting of the Indo-Nepal joint working gathering and joint guiding panel (JSC) on power collaboration, which closed here on Tuesday.
The modalities for building and financing the transmission lines will be examined by the joint specialized group. The Indian side communicated its status to consider new letters of credit (LOCs) for building foundation on the Nepalese side, said an announcement from the Indian consulate in Kathmandu.
Amid the meeting, India communicated its preparation to prepare Nepalese designers in operational and business issues. Control Grid Corporation of India will think of exceptional instructional classes to meet the prerequisites of the Nepalese side.
While evaluating progress in a few India-supported hydropower ventures, concern was communicated about postponements in procuring woodland arrive for the Arun-III ( 900 MW) and Upper Karnali ( 900 MW) ventures, which have prompted delays and influenced monetary suitability. The Nepalese side said these issues will be settled in two months.
