CPN-UML's Bidya Sundar Shakya has been chosen as the leader of Kathmandu Metropolitan City on Sunday. Shakya will head the Kathmandu city for the following five years.Shakya crushed his nearest equal, Nepali Congress (NC) hopeful Raju Raj Joshi, by more than 19,000 votes in the last numbering aftereffects of the neighborhood level surveys hung on May 14. Shakya gathered 64,913 votes and Joshi secured just 45,269 votes.
