The Nepali Congress (condensed NC, and normally known as the Congress) is a Nepalese political gathering. It was shaped after the merger of two gatherings which were the Nepalese National Congress, drove by the Koirala siblings, and the Nepalese Democratic Congress, which was driven by Subarna Shamsher Rana. Nepali Congress drove the 1950 Democratic Movement which effectively finished the Rana tradition and enabled average citizens to partake in the legislative issues. It again drove popularity based developments in 1990 and 2006, in association with liberal powers, to end supreme government and restore parliamentary majority rules system. With the 12-point assention of November 21, 2006 it cooperated with the CPN-UML and the CPN-Maoist to end King Gyanendra's takeover of the legislature. The following 2006 development effectively restored the parliament and prompted the arrangement of the Federal Republic of Nepal. Nepali Congress proclaimed the Federal Republic Constitution of Nepal-2072 by its driving part in Constitution Assembly as a first greater part party.
In the latest races, the NC developed as the biggest party in the Constituent Assembly winning 196 out of 575 seats.
